Three Express Entry Draws in One Week - August 6, 7 and 8, 2025

  • August 10, 2025
Express entry 3 draws in a week

IRCC held three separate Express Entry draws during the first week of August. Each draw focused on a different group of candidates.

August 8, 2025 โ€“ French Language Proficiency (Version 1) Draw

  • Invitations issued: 2,500
  • Lowest CRS score: 481

This round invited candidates with strong French skills in speaking, reading, writing, and listening.

Being fluent in French can raise a candidateโ€™s CRS score. It can also improve their chances of finding work in provinces where both English and French are used.

Applicants in this category may also qualify for the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Canadian Experience Class, or the Federal Skilled Trades Program.

August 7, 2025 โ€“ Canadian Experience Class Draw

  • Invitations issued: 1,000
  • Lowest CRS score: 534

Most Canadian Experience Class applicants already live and work in Canada. Many are here on employer-specific or open work permits.

One key benefit of the CEC is that applicants with a current job in Canada usually do not need to show settlement funds. This makes it easier for workers already established in the country to apply for permanent residence.

The CEC is aimed at skilled workers with recent Canadian work experience, including temporary foreign workers and graduates from Canadian schools.

August 6, 2025 โ€“ Provincial Nominee Program Draw

  • Invitations issued: 225
  • Lowest CRS score: 739

The Provincial Nominee Program lets provinces and territories choose candidates who fit their local labour needs.

An Express Entry candidate with a provincial nomination earns 600 extra CRS points. This almost always leads to an invitation in the next draw.
