Canada held a new Express Entry draw on October 1, 2025. This draw specifically targeted candidates in the Canadian Experience Class (CEC). Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) sent 1,000 invitations to apply. If you received an invitation, you can now apply for permanent residence.
Here are the key details from today's round of invitations:
To receive an invitation in this draw, you needed a CRS score of at least 534. The CRS, or Comprehensive Ranking System, is a points-based system. It ranks eligible candidates in the Express Entry pool.
The tie-breaking rule applies to candidates who had the minimum score. In this case, candidates with a score of 534 only got an invitation if they submitted their profile before February 21, 2025. IRCC uses this rule to manage the number of invitations it sends.
If you received an Invitation to Apply (ITA), congratulations! You now have 60 days to submit your complete application for permanent residence in Canada. Make sure you provide all the required documents before the deadline.
If your score was below 534, do not be discouraged. You can take steps now to improve your CRS score. Consider retaking your language tests or gaining more skilled work experience. You can also explore Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs). A provincial nomination adds 600 points to your CRS score.
IRCC continues to hold regular Express Entry draws. Each draw focuses on different programs and score ranges.
Keep your profile updated. Make sure your documents don't expire.
If you didn't get invited this time, work on raising your CRS score. Future draws may have lower cutoffs.
